Australia and the United States: Allies on the Western Front

2008 marks the 90th anniversary of the battle of Le Hamel (4 July, 1918) where Australian and American soldiers went into action together for the first time. This photographic exhibition is drawn from the collection of the Australian War Memorial and focuses on the major battles fought by Americans and Australians side by side during the First World War.
